Contracts and Compliance Manager
Fevaca- Every Intervention Matters
1 Old Convent Orchard
Bury St Edmunds
It is the first time BCC have commissioned a placement from Fevaca. The team have been responsive and flexible and have worked in partnership to support an urgent placement move for one of our most challenging to place children. I have been impressed with their child focussed approach and communication to enable this to happen within the desired timescale. I look forward to working with them going forward.’
We can always rely on FEVACA providing support in crisis for young people, adjusting their care plans/support at short notice to meet their needs and keep the local authority informed of such situations.
FEVACA have been able to support these young people to access services from mental health, education etc, which have had a positive effect on the young people concerned. By providing a safe, secure and consistent home, sometimes when faced with real challenges from young people, has enabled them to grow. We have successfully moved a number of young people to move onto either supported housing or independent living.
When we have young people with complex needs which we know will struggle to live in semi-independent accommodation one of our first considerations is FEVACA, senior management also feel they provide an outstanding service for our young people.
I truly mean what I have written, any queries let me know.
Excellent planning, and continued engagement. Excellent ability to listen. Possibly the only agency including NHS who made us feel understood.’ Fevaca have provided excellent and sensitive support over a very difficult 2 year period’.
I am in awe of the amazing work you do with young people, and I hope during my career can make a difference in people’s lives the way you do. I am more than confident that my future will involve young people after seeing what is possible.’
Bucks Commissioning feedback
Fevaca units are extremely well run and a result can offer effective bespoke placements in group and solo accommodation to young people. Staff are well managed, with a wealth of training and experience and the multi-agency make up of the wider team enables reflective assessments of risks and needs.
