We opened our first Children’s Home in Ipswich back in 2016, following multiple requests from local authorities who had 14 and 15 year old they knew would respond to the FEVACA approach. In 2020, we opened two more Children's Homes. A first one in High Wycombe and a second one, in a more rural area, near Ely, Cambridgeshire.

Children’s Homes

We opened a Children’s Home following multiple requests from local authorities who had 14 and 15 year olds they knew would respond to the FEVACA approach, but who still required the regulated provision due to their age and need. So… we opened Opal House in Ipswich (Suffolk) in 2016.

Due to the very positive feedback received we have decided to open more homes in other areas. So, we opened Ammolite House in High Wycombe (Buckinghamshire) in August 2020 and Garnet (near Ely, Cambridgeshire) later in the year. Currently we have plans to open more homes within the next 2 years.

We can accept referrals for young people aged 13-17 years old and who may have a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties. All our young people ‘want’ to be in our homes and we ensure they are involved in the planning and decision making of their care.

I have been impressed with their child focussed approach and communication to enable this to happen within the desired timescale. I look forward to working with them going forward
